Travel to Ustica

You can fly from London, directly to Palermo or Trapani.
Palermo’s airport is about 40 km from the port. Public or private transfer are available.
Then you can proceed to Ustica by ferry (2h 30’) or hydrofoil (1 h 15’), departing several times a day. The journey might take from 5 hours to a day time.

Where to stay

The island offers several lodging options: hotels, B&B, Apartments in Residence, Villas in the countryside. Most are located the town, where everything is within walking distance: supermarkets, bars, restaurants. And a short walk from the marina.

Dive spots

Ustica is classified among the most fascinating scuba locations of the Mediterranean: the island is a protected marine area since the 80's and is nowadays a witness to the presence of abundant marine life. Its waters offer a variety of unique fauna and flora, and sometimes even by tropical characteristics. The dive sites are spread among the calm and protected coves, perfect for training and beginners, and breathtaking walls and caves for the more adventurous.


In the low season you can fully enjoy the island life-style; avoid the middle weeks of August (Italians’ high season). Water temperature in May and June is about 18-22°, 24-26° in July and October, up to 25-27° in August. Pelagic fishes are likely to be seen in July.
